The Fam

Yoga Is Our Passion.

Elevate yoga teachers all came to yoga for different reasons and yoga has brought so many different things to their lives, including healing, fitness, balance, and peace (just to name a few). But one thing they all have in common is that yoga isn’t just a job to them—
it’s a gift, and it’s one they want to share with you.

Our teachers are passionate about making Elevate a welcoming, positive community for everyone who walks through our doors.
Whether you join us for an afternoon, an hour, or even five minutes, we make sure it’s a moment of peace in your day.

We believe yoga shouldn’t be intimidating or limiting; it should be inspiring and inclusive. We welcome everyone regardless of their background, lifestyle or experience. Our promise is simple: yoga for everybody and every body.

Erika Henry

When Erika began to practice Yoga in university, she was simply looking for a new athletic challenge.

But what started as a workout soon became something more spiritual. She quickly became enthralled by Ottawa’s tight-knit Yoga community and before she knew it, she was taking several Yoga classes a week.

Just four years after cultivating a regular Yoga practice, Erika decided to take the leap to take her YTT200 in the Costa Rican jungle. In addition to her Hatha-Vinyasa studies, Erika has also studied prenatal Yoga and enjoys assisting pregnant women during a season of intense change.

Erika uses her experience on the mat, coupled with her love of movement and passion for people to create classes that are dynamic, fun, and spiritual.

Instructor + Management

Robert Aranyosi

Unlike many, Rob took his first teacher training having only done a handful of yoga classes, other than he knew yoga made him feel good.

Since then, Rob's entire life has revolved around yoga, continuing to practice and learn everyday and share his teachings with those who are interested.

He has taken over 1000 hours of trainings, some with internationally recognized teachers such as Dylan Werner and Jason Crandell, all related to yoga and movement and has taught countless hours in the form of studio classes, privates, workshops and trainings over the years. Rob believes that just like us, yoga is an ever-evolving practice and as the practice evolves, it adapts to align with those who are practicing it.

Yena attended her first yoga class in 2007 as first year university student out to collect new experiences.

While other interests came and went, yoga always remained. What started as a physical practice became a source of emotional healing, an expression of spirituality, a philosophy to live by. Yena completed her 200HR vinyasa and restorative yoga training in Costa Rica in 2019. Her classes are a balance between challenge and relaxation. She hopes to create a safe environment where students can feel restored in body and mind.

Britt infuses breath, wisdom, and humour—honed over a decade of practice—into her classes.

She is a teacher at heart, and continually works to balance her classes to suit a variety of learners and their needs. Individuals who find anxiety, stress, addictions, depression and mindfulness a challenge have mentioned that they find her classes helpful.

Don’t be surprised to see her out on her skateboard, motorcycle, snowboard, or two feet running around in the community making new friends (or imagining them). She returns to the mat often throughout the week—if you see her in class, say hi!

Jessica Magnan

Inspired by the notion that a teacher’s true mission is to create more teachers rather than to gather students.

Jess is eager to share the knowledge, tools, and experience she has gained over nearly a decade of teaching yoga. Her approach is deliberate yet gentle and reminds students that there is nothing to conquer or even to learn but rather to remember—we are already enough. Jess has devoted her life to helping others to reclaim their power, vitality, peace, worth and connection.
