Elevate Run Club

The first stride is just the beginning.

What started as a solo ritual during the stillness of the pandemic
is now becoming something more.

A community in motion.

For those who crave movement as medicine,
connection without performance,
and Sundays that start with purpose.

The Inspiration

I didn’t grow up a runner. I became one in the pause—during the pandemic—when the world got quiet and heavy. Between studio pivots, raising my toddler, and rebuilding a life, I started running to survive the noise.

As I train for my 7th half marathon, it’s still not about the finish line. It's about the feeling. The space. The breath. The rhythm. A practice that mirrored yoga: breath-led, honest, healing.

If you're looking for something to anchor you, to steady your pace in a world that moves fast—this is your invitation. Start where you are.

See you Sunday,

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Who is Elevate Run Club for?

Runners of all backgrounds. The first-timers. The weekend warriors. The ones chasing pace goals and the ones chasing clarity. If you move with intention, you’re one of us.

  • When do we meet?

Every Sunday morning. 9:50 AM arrival, 10:00 AM run. We meet at Elevate Yoga Studio, 298 Elgin Street (corner of Gilmour).

  • How far is the run?

We run 5K—steady and social. A loop that meanders through the heart of Ottawa and along the quiet stretch of the canal. Some run fast. Some take their time. All finish.

  • Do I need to sign up?

The run is free and open to all. If you’d like to stay for post-run yoga, book your spot online—space is limited and fills fast.

  • Is there yoga after the run?

Yes. At 11:15 AM, we move to the mat. A practice designed to restore what the run awakened. Breath-led, body-aware, and open to all levels.

  • What should I bring?

Running shoes, a water bottle, and a yoga mat if you’re staying for practice. Weather-ready gear never hurts.

  • Can I bring a friend?

Your people are our people. Bring as many friends as you wish for the ritual.

  • What if it rains?

We show up. Rain, snow, or shine. If conditions become unsafe (lightning, ice), we’ll notify you in advance. But around here, a little weather just adds to the story.

  • Do you track pace or time?

We don’t. If you want to track your splits or build your base, we’ve created a Strava group to log your journey.

  • Where can I ask more questions?

Drop us a line at hello@elevateyoga.ca.
