This slow flow mobility and flexibility class moves intentionally through a series of mobility and flexibility exercises to improve joint health, increase range of motion and prime your body for further movement in higher intensity classes or whatever training you’re into. Part of slow flow stretches and targets deep connective tissue between the muscles and fascia throughout the body. The passive portion of the class involves variations of seated and lying down postures held for longer periods of time. As you melt into the pose with awareness and ease, your body will learn to adapt to greater ranges of motion. Once you have released into the pose, we then add an active component to each posture learning to control and strengthen the newly acquired range improving joint mobility. Be prepared to relax into poses, work hard within them and flow throughout them.

Shirin began her career in health and wellness over 15 years ago in an effort to ease her own restless nervous system. Her yoga education allowed her to layer on the controlled use of breath in the cultivation of a mind-body connection, while Thai massage added an appreciation of touch energy to her movement expertise, and when ELDOA® became a part of her repertoire, she felt the pieces of the puzzle all falling into place. Training in a variety of movement disciplines, allows for a level of agility and personalization in her educational approach that helps her to create targeted solutions for individual bodies.
