Fall Revival
w/Ayesha Basi

In traditional Chinese medicine, we believe fall to be the beginning of a time of introspection. While the hot and busy summer months allow us to begin, create and bloom, in the fall we harvest all that we sewed and begin the process of introspection and reflection. It’s a time to root down inside the home of our body, and reflect.

This workshop is a moving meditation. It is a time of ritual. A place to provide your body and mind the space to pause and reflect – through movement. We will move through and build upon repetitive sequencing, which allows us to get out of the mind and into the body, as we rhythmically move through postures. We’ll also tap into the natural wisdom of our body and move intuitively and authentically, in the ways our body wants to naturally move. Guided by asana (postures), but moving with the freedom of whatever your body needs.

We’ll start and end with slow, nourishing postures, breathwork and meditation – that allow and foster space for grounding. Feel free to bring any talismans (e.g. crystals, mala beads), which help you feel grounded and present

Your Lead Trainer

For Ayesha, yoga provides the tools to live a life of presence, awareness and compassion. Every time we step on our mat is a chance to move energy, learn something new about our bodies and connect our mind, body and breath more harmoniously together. Ayesha's practice draws inspiration from both biomechanics and evoking a state of flow. She believes in the importance of building strong and resilient bodies through, mobility, strength training and functional movement - at the same time, she believes in the power of body, mind and breath connection and the possibility of self-expansion through creative sequencing. Ayesha hopes to empower students to increase their mind/body awareness, better understand their body, move with intuition and nourish their individual approach to movement in a safe, inclusive and curious way.
