Yoga can be one of the most effective tools for helping soothe low back pain. However, yoga can also be the source of many back-related injuries or flare-ups. This is neither the instructor’s nor the student’s fault. The simple fact is that every case of back pain is different and a general yoga class just simply cannot accommodate for this. So the question is: how do we ensure that we are moving through our yoga practice in a way that promotes healing rather than creating a flare-up?
In this workshop, we will take the first half to explore and identify common alignment and movement errors which could be exacerbating your back pain. We will use visual and external cues to understand how to modify and correct our practice to promote spine health. We will then use our newly formed awareness around postures and movement patterns to flow through a practice specifically designed to start you down the road to recovery. This workshop will give you the confidence and know-how to get back to attending your favourite classes worry-free!
