Taking a Little Time Out.

Can you feel it? The days are getting longer, the sun is feeling a little warmer, and the snow has melted (for now). Spring is around the corner—but it’s not here yet. As anyone who has spent more than a year or two in this part of the country knows, winter usually has at least one freezing, snowy surprise in store for us before it ends.

It’s counterintuitive, but sometimes the winter blues can strike the hardest just when we can see the light at the end of the tunnel; the last few weeks can be even harder to bear than the full months that came before. We’ve already shoveled our driveways, salted our doorsteps, layered our clothes—we’ve had enough!

That’s why, in the last gasp of winter, it’s important to take some time for yourself, whether that be a few hours to read a book or go for a walk, a weekend getaway, or a vacation (and hey, we have a great suggestion for somewhere warm and relaxing!).

Whatever you chose, take a moment to re-center yourself and remind yourself that the grey weather won’t last forever. Spring is on its way.
